The Parish Council is undertaking a review of the Sedlescombe Neighbourhood Plan.
Sedlescombe was the first village in the Rother District area to make a neighbourhood plan and covered a timespan from 2016 – 2028. Once it was made (agreed by Rother District Council) it became part of the statutory development plan for the area. Planning applications then have to be determined in accordance with the development plan, unless material considerations (se below for some examples of material considerations) indicate otherwise.
The plan has been monitored since it was made and applications for sites allocated have been received by the local planning authority although as yet none of the application sites have started building. It has come time to review our plan, and consider other policies that may be relevant to the village as well as to ensure that our plan is in line with local and national planning policies both of which have changed since we made our plan.
A key part of the review is getting the views of residents and we will be asking you to fill in a survey so you can let us know your thoughts.
Committee agendas as minutes can be found here: https://www.sedlescombeparishcouncil.gov.uk/neighbourhood-plan-review-committee
